After law school and a clerkship on the North Carolina Court of Appeals in Raleigh, Emily moved to Charlotte in the late 1990’s to work in a local law firm. In 2002, she transitioned from law to real estate sales and worked with luxury-level boutique brokerage firms before establishing Zarbatany Properties in 2017.

Over the course of her career, Emily has worked with countless buyers and sellers to achieve their real estate investment goals. Emily and her husband, Paul, live in historic Plaza Midwood with their two children. Emily enjoys a healthy lifestyle with yoga, running and at-home workouts, as well as sailing and other adventures with her family. Traveling and attending their son & daughters’ lacrosse, football, wrestling and equestrian events are highlights of the Zarbatany family’s time together.
